Hanna-Barbera Productions
a). From 1957 to 1967 when the company was first founded, it worked as a private company. Then from 1967 to 2001 they worked as a subsidiary to the larger parent company of Taft Broadcasting. Then from 2001 till now Hanna-Barbera Productions works as a subsidiary company of the parent organization Warner Bros. This means they work as a separate company however the money they make goes to the parent conglomerate.
b). Hanna-Berbera Productions uses most of there animation in children's television. There most popular television cartoon is Scooby Doo. In addition to scobby doo Hanna-Barbera Productions made The Flintstones, The Smurfs, Yogi Bear and The Jetsens. Hanna- Berbera Productions also did some work in live action animation and made shows Korg: 70,000BC, The Hanna-Barbera Happy Hour, Zax and The Alien Prince and Going Bananas.
c). In the early days of Hanna- Barbera Productions they mostly used cell and hand drawn animation. The cell and hand drawn animation style was used by Hanna- Barbera for the whole lifetime of Hanna- Barbera. However as Hanna-Barbera got aquired by different companies there animation style changed. As of now Hanna-Barbera is a name only company and there animation style is non existant, however there most famous TV cartoon Scooby Doo lives on.
d). As of most animation companies they have to abide by the same regulatory laws as normal television and film companies. The people who regulate Hanna- Barbera in the US are the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and in the UK they are regulated by the Ofcom ( Office of Commissions).
